CRIF dinner: Netherlands intends to fight strongly against the … – TF1

The annual event that is the CRIF dinner, 30th of the name, was again highly anticipated this year and for several reasons. On the sidelines of the appointment, the President spoke at length before presenting his plan against racism and antisemitism. A plan to be presented “in the coming days,” the Prime Minister Manuel Valls.
.

A plan that will be “as complete as concrete, where we will do everything possible to prevent, deter, acting” insisted the President of the Republic. Hollande also recalled the importance of history in the construction of the Republic, in particular following the desecration of graves in Sarre-Union. “The nation knows that the Jewish people have given.” “Jews are still hunted by hatred [...] All the enemies of the Jews are the enemies of freedom.”
.

He then repeated his desire to see progress rapidly sanctions against any anti-Semitic act. “All racist or anti-Semitic not come under the press law but criminal law.”
.

In order to fight more effectively, a bill on intelligence will be presented on March 19 by the Cabinet, and education will include a central role with a week dedicated to the 16 to 21 March. “Do not teach about the Holocaust, it would deny it. Hatred, when anonymous, it multiplies,” said he announced firmly.
.
In addition, Francois Hollande has asked major Internet groups to participate in the “digital regulation” in order not to be “accomplices”. Before concluding, “French Jews are at home in France. These are anti-Semites who do not have their place in the republic.”

Cukierman apologizes

A dinner held in a tense situation after the controversy surrounding the president of CRIF. Attacked for his remarks on Muslim youth and Marine Le Pen, Roger Cukierman, President of CRIF, spoke in turn denouncing a “bad case” after charges of CFCM .
.

The president of the CRIF (Representative Council of Jewish Institutions in France) has nevertheless tried to calm the situation by apologizing. “I hope that the contact will be quickly restored,” he confided.
.

“The French Council of the Muslim Faith us informed this afternoon of his decision not to attend the dinner. I called Mr. Boubaker (the president of the CFCM) to try to change his mind, I told him he was doing us a bad trial “said he said at the 30th dinner of CRIF. “What matters is to live together, Jews and Muslims. We are on the same boat and I hope that the contact will be quickly restored.”
