Hauts-de-Seine. Clichy, the last socialist bastion rocking right – Ouest-France

The list of Rémi Muzeau (LR-UDI-MoDem), substitute for Patrick Balkany to the Assembly, won with 57.82 % of the vote, far ahead of the Socialist Julien Perez (42.18%), former director of cabinet of outgoing mayor Gilles Catoire, who led the city for 30 years.

“A very large majority of Clichois has placed its trust in the list Oxygen. I thank them from my heart “, the future mayor responded Clichois on Twitter.

After falling to the departmental Catoire Mr. March, Mr. Muzeau has certainly benefited from a desire for change and the absence in this election of Didier Schuller, old hand in local politics, who dreamed of conquering Clichy after crossing the desert and his conviction in a case of illegal financing of his political activity.

The latter, with UDI candidate label in 2014, added the UMP and Modem notices on its posters and newsletters “potentially depriving the Voice Modem-UMP list Mr. Muzeau” was estimated the State Council to justify the annulment of the election.

When these partial municipal elections, the right also won at Asnieres and Thionville. The left console retaining Pontault-Combault.
